Finally… the US Embassy gets back in touch !
Wow… only 7 weeks later… I receive an email from LondonConsular@state.gov stating the maximum term I can stay in the US is 6 years with a H-1.
To reside indefinitely I need to apply to become a “naturalized U.S. citizen” requiring an immigrant visa.
At which point they tell me to refer back to the website. OK… Great…

Well, I’ve also made contact with a friends dad who resides in the U.S. Hopefully he can provide me with some inside information, but for now entry into the U.S. seems to be fixed on the following routine :
Get a job offer > Employer petitions state > You get a H-1 if petition is successful > You go work for said Employer.
The USCIS seems to be another big regulatory body mentioned alot. I’ll have a chat with them I think.

Sony Bravia TV Advert
Back home here in the UK Sony have released an advert for their new Bravia LCD TV. It’s creative is simple. Throw 250,000 bouncing balls down the streets of San Francisco. I thought it was brilliant, but my drive to research the advert was to see if it was CGI or real. As it turns out, it was real. See for yourself
or just watch the commercial
